Writer's Block

Writer’s Block is a free, casual gathering for writers, aspiring writers, and anyone interested in the craft.

Join us at Odditeas Cafe in St. Louis from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on the last Wednesday of every month. We welcome poets, journalists, songwriters, fiction and nonfiction writers, and anyone creating something that does not fit neatly into a category. Meetings include optional prompts, free-writing time, group discussion, and time to meet other creative people. You can bring a current project, start something new, or simply see where the evening takes you. Sharing your work and exchanging feedback are completely optional.

There is no pressure to perform, publish, promote yourself, or network. The focus is simply on making time to write, exploring the craft, and encouraging one another to keep creating. Bring only whatever you need to write, food and drink available for purchase at Odditeas. No registration or commitment is necessary.…
