Welcome to the Odditeas Artist Collective!

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Resident Artist at Odditeas. We’re building a community of creators who embrace the curious, the beautiful, and the unusual. Please take a moment to read through what being part of our collective means.

🖤 What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking artists whose work captures imagination — pieces that bring something new, expressive, and thought-provoking to our space. While we may not always have immediate openings, we encourage you to apply and stay in touch. A “not right now” doesn’t mean “never.”

We look for:

• Original, high-quality work that complements and diversifies our gallery offerings

• Artists who are engaged, reliable, and collaborative

• Individuals who are excited to be part of a creative community, not just a display space

🌿 Resident Artist Expectations

Resident Artists are asked to:

• Work two (4-hour) gallery shifts per month — typically on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday (special event).

  • This is a volunteer role, but Resident Artists receive reduced wall rental and/or commission rates in exchange.

• Be comfortable engaging with visitors and selling art — both your own and others’ work.

• Support your fellow artists, attend events, and participate in themed shows held every 10 - 14 weeks.

• Help promote the gallery and your fellow creators through social media.

• Commit to a minimum of one year, allowing time for your work to gain visibility and for our partnership to grow. (A 6-month check-in may occur if needed.)

We’re closed Sundays & Mondays. Mondays are typically behind-the-scenes workdays for staff, so shifts are primarily needed Tuesday–Saturday, or on special events.

At Odditeas, we work as a team. We’re here to uplift each other, share opportunities, and create something magical together.

If your work looks like a good fit, we’ll reach out to schedule a review appointment. Once accepted, you’ll sign an artist agreement outlining display terms and responsibilities.
